Update: The "It Wasn't Me!" Event will be postponed to Saturday, tomorrow at 7pm PST.
Zini for Mini, get it? Haha....
Anyways, in celebration of the release of Dragon, WeTheProud will be hosting two small mini-games to play this week!
Drama Frenzy:
1. Schizophrenic-Utter-Chaotic-Krabby-Malicious-Yearning-Zealous-Inspirational-Teams
(See what I did there? This event will vary on the # of people participating)
How well can you act? Sure you can watch Twilight or eat only 18 bags of Lays Honey BBQ Chips, but can you do it given an allotted time? To familiarize ourselves with our members, we're going to be splitting up into teams of 3-5 people and test how well you guys can create a Skit (A skit is basically a short movie scene) within a certain time. Zokku and 2 other judges will be presenting a random Theme and a short summary to describe the movie scene. Then you and your team will have exactly 5-20 minutes to act out, practice, and assign individual roles.
You will NOT know who is in your team because we will randomly be splitting people into groups blindfolded.
You will NOT know what the theme or summary is beforehand.
We will explain the theme to you as soon as the teams are formed.
You will be allowed to use ANY prop/environment spec that is on the spot.
You will be allowed to use ANY names and references.
The point of this event is to see how well you all can work together in a frenzy!
After a team wins, the teams will be scrambled again before the next theme/summary is given.
The team that acts out the best scene and receives the highest rating will win!
Prize pool: Only one team will win 8,000,000 gold (Split among members)
(Although the prize pool is small, the game will be repeated multiple times to give other groups a chance)
2. It Wasn't Me!
Before you jump off a building or place a bag over your head, I'm still here!
(This event will vary depending on the # of participants)
On a bright sunny day...Zokku was skipping down the street with his helicopter hat, striped T-shirt, red balloon, and giant lollipop until suddenly...a Large Pink Van entitled "Lays Honey BBQ Chips 4 Children" appeared!
Zokku frantically rolled towards the Van, imagining the bountiful chips he would be able to indulge in.
Unfortunately, as he opened the Van and knocked on the windshield...there was no driver inside.
And worst of all....there were NO LAYS HONEY BBQ CHIPS! Dun dun dun...and then he died.
Members of WTP will gather in one area as one group. In this group, there is a Dead Corpse. The mission is to find out who, among your friends in this group killed their friend. The "Killer" must disguise himself the best way he can by blending in the group socially, physically, and mentally. The Dead Corpse, however, will be able to move, equip any armor/weapon, and use any emoticon he wishes to do so. The Dead Corpse's mission is to try and point out who the Killer is WITHOUT TALKING. The Dead Corpse will be whispered a clue to WHO the killer is.
If you are the Dead Corpse, here are a few things you can think of:
1. Use your emoticons to point out who the killer is.
2. Try to match colors of the killer to point out who he is.
3. Try to get near the killer.
The Dead Corpse will NOT be informed of who killed him. Instead, the Dead Corpse will be given a clue. This clue will NOT be revealed to the rest of the group.
The Killer's mission is to try and hide himself in the group. He will be able to blend in the crowd and use any means to hide himself. He must be absolutely cunning and try not to give his identify away.
If you are the killer here are a few things you can think of:
1. Do not try and run from the group, the group will know who is missing.
2. Try to socialize and appear in a normal way.
3. Do not commit any extreme actions.
4. Burn time as fast as possible by distracting and misleading the group.
The Citizens must try and figure out who the Killer is. The Citizens will be informed of who the Dead Corpse is. The Citizens will be given 10 minutes to figure out who the Killer is. When the time is up, Zokku will pick one RANDOM Citizen and ask who he/she thinks the Killer is. The Citizens will be allowed to say only one name for one chance.
If the Citizens get the Killer right, the entire group will be awarded 5,000,000 gold (Split among the group)
However, if the Killer wins, he alone will win 5,000,000 gold.
(Although the prize pool is small, the game will be repeated multiple times to give many chances to Killers)
TLDR;
Killer: Hey guys, so who do you think the killer is?
Citizen 1: Hmm I don't know, you look pretty suspicious...
Dead Corpse: (*Frantically jumping up and down at Citizen 3*)
Killer: But look! Dead Corpse is pointing at Citizen 3! It must be him!
Citizen 3: Wait what?!? It wasn't me! I swear!
Dead Corpse: (*.....!!!*)
Zokku: Time is up, Citizen 2, who is the Killer?
Citizen 2: Uhh....I think it's that guy (Citizen 3).
Zokku: Nope, the real Killer was (-insert name here-)

Notes for Dragon
Each character gets 3 attempts a week. Rumored to be success/fails will count. However, fails can be avoided if you fail the battle or just simply click leave.
Hiding behind the Shelter gives a 18% ATT spd, 1500 att, 250% SP Gain Boost for 2 minutes. Always get this.
Evies must always corona as resources are expended immediately.
Feathers must be preserved as much as possible, use Revive instead.
If you're in a 16 man party with people less than 14k att, just leave.
I played in 2 parties with 2 +15ers and we weren't even close.

It's Finally Here
Post saved for Dragon Update
Update: Don't expect dragon until tomorrow.
Dear Players,
We are still in the process of opening the correct ports and configuring the raid servers. We now have the support of the developers and they are helping to troubleshoot problems we come across.
We understand the frustration of not being able to play the new content as soon as possible, but rest assured we are working to open the servers as soon as we can. We will provide another update at 2:00 A.M. (Pacific).
-The Vindictus Team-
Dear Players,
We regret to inform you that we must extend the update. Setting up the raid servers that will handle the new systems is taking longer than expected. Although we went through all the preliminary steps to secure the proper server connections, we also wish to verify that the new connections and settings comply with port settings that were put in place a few weeks ago to stem the DDoS attacks our network has experienced in the past.
We will continue to inform you on the progress of the update throughout the evening. An update to the status of the Armies of Colhen update will be provided at 11:30 P.M. (Pacific). We thank you for your understanding.
-The Vindictus Team-
Update:
Dear Players,
Our biggest desire is to make sure the Armies of Colhen update happens with as little downtime as possible. This means checking and double-checking our systems, servers, software, network connections, and all other components involved in this ambitious update so that they are running properly and smoothly. We will be postponing the start of the update until2:00 P.M. (Pacific) in order to ensure unnecessary downtime in the future.
We thank you for your patience and understanding. Check back with this notice throughout the day for updates.
Update: Due to the Patch Schedule being from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST, ALL RAIDS WILL BE CANCELED AT THEIR DUE TIME. This does not mean we will not raid. If there is extra time aside from the Dragon content, which I highly doubt anyone would prioritize over, then we will commence regular raids. However, take into account that huge patch updates like these don't always remain right to their schedule. Just in case, expect the patch to be extended an extra 1-6 hours.

I Am The Heart of Darkness, The Conspiracy Behind +15 Exploit
Greetings young and old members of WeTheProud, it's about time I do a full writeup on the situation of the +15 Exploit because I've noticed a few odd patterns have been taking place. The information I provide is based on facts and opinions I have interpreted from a few sources. Some of this information may not be fully true until the +15 wave is over, but for now, I think this is pretty solid.
As you all know Nexon stands as the world's most successful corporate gaming company next to Blizzard. However, the key term of "infamous" would fit more snug to their company profile. The reason behind this is related to when the community discovered the "dirt" of Nexon stealing the Dragon story from a random community forumer. If he had reported it as a cyber tort or illegal theft of personal property, he could have stood to take down Nexon. In any case, this event did prove Nexon can be quite shady in these areas. The +15 Exploit is no different, and I believe this is the reason why Nexon took the action to milk the opportunity of incoming revenue.
In the ending fall season, Nexon included a hidden HUD update (HUD is the overview of your buttons, inventory, skin, etc.). Many believed this to just be a regular Nexowned update that is completely for player benefits. However, Nexon did not realize this HUD update created the +15 exploit bug. Now in any case, I'm not sure if this exploit was implemented intentionally, but I do know for what is to come in the future. Around winter season, two genius M***ers coded by the alias of "D*** and N***" discovered the +15 Exploit. Now, they did the right move and kept quiet about it, making +15s for themselves (The +15 Chiulin Long Hammer if anybody remembers, by d*** was completely exploited). However, the HUGE error they committed was releasing the method to friends. And as you all know, word spreads fast. It was to no surprise that the +15 Exploit was eventually released to the public and tons of flame wars have taken place. Nevertheless, this did not change the fact that players EXPLOITED weapons.
Now, take a quick step back. Many people would know in the Lann forums that a pretty well known Lann in East known as Beyak was a legit +15 holder because he spends thousands of dollars on the game. Beyak has been holding a +15 even since patch 8 or so, so his weapons were completely accepted as legit.
Guess what happened?
Notice the text, ALL of his weapons were removed. Truly a sad loss for him. This proved that Nexon has not finished wiping weapons and will continue to do so over the next month.
So hopefully this clears up the issue that even LEGIT players out there are getting wiped.
Back to the main issue. During the +15 Exploit many players did not know the hidden update behind Enhancement Runes. If anyone noticed, the requirement level for the Enhancement Rune had read Level 71. Now a few people stated, "Ah HA! Nexon has finally done something about the exploit, so now nobody can make exploited weapons....right?" WRONG. The Level 71 Req. turned to out to just be a text ninja error, or more of an intentional scheme to raise revenues of Vindictus. Once people found out that you could STILL enhance using these runes at ANY level, another wave of flames came in, "QQ NEXON is so imcompetent! They can't even take out Enhancement runes! This is the end of vindictus...right? WRONG. again. Now this is where my speculation comes in prior to Nexon's infamous company profile. This is why Nexon is heeded as the most successful gaming corporation out there BECAUSE they know how to do shady things like this. Ready to get your mind blown?
Here's what people DIDN'T see in runes. The text read, Enhancement Rune: Level 71, purchase via Credit or Prepaid.
Credit is by Credit Card or direct Bank Account purchases.
Prepaid is by purchasing Karma Koin cards or NX cards from your local Walmart, etc.
In Nexon's Terms of Service, the contract states that any account holder has the right to refund ALL of his or her purchase in NX IF purchased via CREDIT. Nexon WILL NOT REFUND ANY NX PURCHASED VIA PREPAID. So guess what? The only thing that changed with Enhancement Runes was that you could not buy Enhancement runes with prepaid. The option was completely shaded out, and the only option available was Credit. So, why would they want players to buy via Credit? Well it's so that Nexon won't have to refund them if they purchased over 1000 runes. Now before this change, Nexon included an ADDITIONAL hidden update in their ToS. This change was that all account purchases prior to December or so, would only be able to receive $60 MAX on ANY PURCHASE VIA CREDIT. When was the exploit discovered? December.
And oh great! Coincidentally Nexon has stated that they're going to start banning players who exploited the +15 weapons! What great heroes they are!!!! Hooray! Well nope. Here's the problem. If players are banned, the players would begin to think hey, the exploit was fun and all, but now at least I can get my money back....right? WRONG. 2x. Here's where Nexon screwed the consumers. Consumers could not purchase via Credit, so they were forced to buy prepaid. If you're banned, you do not get any refund in prepaid.
Currently as of today, it has just been released to me that players who WERE banned in the exploit wave WERE give the opportunity to retrieve their accounts by paying NX. LOL? So in any case, Nexon was able to "legally" get away with millions of dollars of enhancement rune purchases AND they look like heroes for banning exploited +15 weapons.
Now why does this frustrate me? The reason is because if this whole issue had been kept quiet, Nexon would not be BANNING LEGIT PLAYERS. Aside from Beyak's unfortunate removal, players have reported that weapons starting from +11 and beyond were being removed even if they were legit or not. This case is happening in EAST, where in West, we should embrace ourselves for a complete wipeout.
Another rant is that Nexon does not realize that the majority of the exploiters are the only hardcore people that play this game. If they eliminate everything here, what players will be playing Vindictus? As you all know, WTP hit rank 7 yesterday, and I have spoken to GMS above our ranks. Every single of them holds a +15 weapon, and most of them are exploited. You don't even have to tell me, I already know since they hold like 4 of them. So what if these GMs get banned let alone weapon removals? Nexon will be crumbling EMPIRES of guilds out there which are the vast majority database of the game.
As a player of Vindictus I can state now that despite what weapon you hold, you are not safe. The corrupt policies of Nexon constantly delve into the purchases by consumers like us and as a result, we have no choice but to follow them. Nobody is safe. Ultimately, Beyak's wipeout had shaken the entire Vindictus community because now we know even legit players out there WILL get wiped.
As you all know Nexon stands as the world's most successful corporate gaming company next to Blizzard. However, the key term of "infamous" would fit more snug to their company profile. So, Finally, after all that was done, and after all this time...
I'm done.
Nexon cut my Lann in half and removed all my weapons (Luminaries, braids and raiders, all +15)
If i cannot get them back, consider me not playing this game anymore. This honestly just destroyed my hopes and trashed my future projects. There's little keeping me tied to this game at the moment, i'm surprised i havent quit months ago when the market glitch made me lose tons of gold.
I am sorry for those who were waiting for more quick solos, I wish i could've put more out there.
I will stick around the forums to provide help and advice for any lann requesting it.
P.S. What a *****y way to go...so ********* sad

The First Official Marriage of Vindictus
As society proliferates the emergence of cyber relations, Vindictus is not to be left out in this aspect as a new possibility. Personally, I highly doubted such an event could occur, let alone due to Nexon's previous methods of marriage in "Maplestory", which was supposed to be a satirical and comical joke. However, I stand corrected as Vindictus joins this "genre" of a whole new meaning in the social sector. This, my brethren, is why Nexon stands today as a rival against Blizzard, an empire of milking greenbacks BECAUSE they know exactly how to create their own Facebook.
Quote:
A forumer (TidusZCP) or Western player that I have recently engaged in contact to has announced his marriage!
Hey guys! I'm no good at writing out detailed stories so Ill give you the short version. Basically, me and my girlfriend met on Vindictus, we were both level 20-somethings, doing a Prepare for counterattack run. And we were all bored sitting around the campfire waiting for the next wave to spawn, and I told a joke to the other 3 people in the run (Why was the baby strawberry crying?...................Cause its mom was in a jam! (lame I know haha)). And after the run was done I got a friend request from her, and we hit it off. We played for hourrrrrssss, and everyday that week we were both so shy but so excited about eachother we would basically just sit at our computers waiting for the other person to log on haha. After several days we moved into talking on Skype while we played, and then eventually we called eachother, then finally she came out here and stayed with me for about 2 months. And I have never met anyone like her, shes sweet, shy, beautiful, soft spoken, talented, gawd so many things (yeah its sappy lol). ANYWAYS, I proposed to her about a week ago, and she said yes!
Quite the atypical outcome that most of us would expect in an online relationship, but hey, love works in mysterious ways~

Prepare.
Prepare.
Misc. Information: Apparently the last patch delivered new command consoles in our HFS files which hinted at the creation of Pets. That's right, Vindictus ---> Maplestory. DevCat is making plans to create new Pets for players so that they will "not be lonely" in dungeons and have a sidekick to play with.
Next, just when the +15 exploit was patched a whole new hack is back: Item Duplication.
That's right, remember when I mentioned how the item creation command consoles in our HFS files were not COMPLETELY patched? Well a genius out there created a user-free program that allows people to duplicate stackable-only items. This includes Scrolls, imagine 100x Passion ES's.
