MASSIVE MONSTROUS GUILD EVENTS

WeTheProud will be hosting a series of events over the next few weeks.  Thank you for your votes in the polls, we will base our events off of these answers!  As Fall approaches and most players will be in-active, this will be our celebration to end the Summer Season to all.  WeTheProud wishes you all a healthy and pragmatic future!

1. 20 Questions Zolo Style

July 30, THIS SATURDAY FROM 6PM-11PM PST.  Event will start once enough # of players have gathered.

Questions will be based on in-game, reality, and troll facts.

2. Hide-N-Seek Trolls!

There will be 4-10 Trolols hiding in the plains and towns of Vindictus.  Each will hold a secret question, but this question will be extremely difficult to answer if you do not find them!  If you cannot answer the question, FIND THEM for they will have a clue somewhere on their armor about the answer to the question!  Answer it correctly, and you will receive a small prize.  However, YOU ONLY GET 1 CHANCE.  If you fail, you will be disqualified from that person.  Correctly answer all of the trolls and RECEIVE THE ULTIMATE PRIZE FOR THIS EVENT.

YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE USING YOUR OWN WEAPON FOR THIS FIGHT.  WEAPONS MAY BE PROVIDED UPON BALANCE.  AFTER REGISTRATION YOU WILL BE SORTIED INTO A SPECIFIC CLASS AND GROUP FOR FIGHTERS.  FIND YOUR ID AND INFO ON THE RIGHT BAR OF THIS BLOGPOST.

REGISTRATION WILL END SATURDAY, AUGUST 6.  Players will then be given Assigned Dates to Fight.  A Ladder system is W.I.P

___MASS MONSTROUS RECRUITMENT___

Title says All! Recruit the most people, MUST BE LEVEL REQUIREMENT OF 24+, TELL THE NEW RECRUIT TO LEAVE AN "INTRO" NOTE THAT SAYS "I HAVE BEEN RECRUITED BY XOXOXOX".  Admins will then keep a record of how many each has.

Emergency Re-Post: Secure your Config.CFG

In order to avoid future waves of innocent bans, you may follow these instructions to help prevent hackers' console from reorganizing the script of your config.cfg

1. Go to your vindictus folder C:/Nexon

2. Open CFG folder

3. Right click config.cfg for properties

4. Check "Read Only"

5. Close

This procedure has been approved by the forums community of Nexon and it has ensured that those who utilize this may increase their chances of not receiving an innocent ban

Changing your IP Address
1. Go to CMD, Start, Run, CMD
2. Type in "ipconfig /flushdns
3. Next, "ipconfig /release"
4. Next, "ipconfig /renew"
5. Close

A small tip for Better Connectivity, Port Forwarding

For those who are unaware, Source Games rely heavily on port forwarding for both Hosting and Connection.  Though it is an inconvenience to setup port forwarding, it may slightly or dramatically help improve your connection.

Port Forwarding is primarily for packets of data to be sent easily without interference between you and Nexon's Database. 

Advanced users: If you already know how to Port Forward, the two ports are 27000-27025 TCP/UDP and 47611-47611 TCP/UDP

Step 1: Go to Start > Search/Run and type CMD.


Step 2: Type in ipconfig. Copy down your Default Gateway and your IPv4


Step 3: Open your web browser and put your Default Gateway in the address bar (it may ask for a password, if you don't know it then Google "Default Password [insert router type here]" If the default password doesn't work, then ask your family if they know it. As a last resort, hold down the small reset button on the router with a pen for a minute. Reconnect then try the default password again.)


Step 4: Go to the Application(or similar) tab and find Port Forward(or Port Range Forward).


Step 5: You are going to forward 2 ports. Name them both Vindictus as a reminder of what they're for.


1) Start: 27000
End: 27025
Protocol: TCP & UDP
IP Address: Type in your IPv4


2) Start: 47611
End: 47611
Protocol: TCP & UDP
IP Address: Do the same as above
Enable them and save

1. 20 Questions Zolo Style

Zokku asks a question i.e, "What is my favorite color?" The first person to answer the correct answer, which is "Pink", wins the starting bid, 100k.  He now has the choice to leave with his money or double it.  If he leaves, he will NOT be able to participate anymore.  If he doubles it, there will be a new questions offered and it will now be 200k.  However, on the next question if another person answers it before the first person does, that second person will steal ALL of his gold and stand at 200k. (Bid resets at 1/2 the price once taken off, for ex. 100k, now will reset at 50k, highest double down is 1mil)

2. Hide-N-Seek Trolls

You experienced an upset today! Several trolols will be hiding in Rocheste, Field, or Colhen within a specific range of channels.  Find these trolls and stop them from what they're doing.  Each troll will have a riddle for you and if you answer correctly, you will be able to stop what they are doing!  Each troll will have a prize for you too if answered correctly, and in the end the person to answer and stop all of the trolls will be given a GRAND PRIZE.

3. Race To The Castle

When WeTheProud was only a few weeks old, we held our first Race to the Castle.  Players will start out in the entrance of Field by colhen and race to Rocheste.  First person to touch the guard will be given a Prize.  However, due to the lag and different perspectives of screens, we will have several judges to coordinate who wins and whatnot.  Show off your spirit in the meantime for this race will be recorded and submitted to Youtube! This video will also be our next Advertisement for WeTheProud! The Few, The Proud, The Best.

4. ____---P.V.P---____

The championship is here.  Who is our strongest and most skilled player in the guild?  An evie, lann or fiona?  Only the best will have the opportunity to sign up and show off their prowess in this event.  We will have scheduled Fights and several judges will be observing each fight.  ANYONE can sign up! We will balance according to the charts for level, equipment, and of course Evie's Mana shield.  No SP Skills, Quickslots, or Secondaries.  This is a pure bloodlust and maelstrom fight because only the valor will show off their prideful.  

The winner will then challenge the Guild Master, if he wins he goes home with a very NICE PRIZE.  However, if he loses, it's all over.

Power to the People. PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER.

5. Banner, Who is our greatest photoshop artist?

Calling out all artists, experts, and masters of photoshop or drawing, who can create the greatest guild banner?  Person will be given an abstract theme and have the choice of creating his own drawing.  That person will submit via email ONLY 1 BANNER.  By the end of the event, Admins and Other volunteers will decide who created the best banner and be rewarded.  However, do not worry if your efforts go to waste! We will categorize prizes in 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place.
