Where do we go from here? In Honor Of Our Fear©
It's been a while since I did a status update about the overall progression of the community. Recently, I've been quite inactive due to certain issues, and currently I will proceed to be inactive. Overall, the community itself has dropped in activity, and as I'm aware of this, we are still recruiting new people constantly (Hence, the megaphones and spam). Regardless, I wish to thank you personally for making WeTheProud your first choice as a guild in Vindictus, and I hope to see you in the near future.
Updates to the game:
Vindictus is no doubt a dying game. As the #1 issue still resides in content and lack of proper customer service, the game is still buggy, creates stale learning curves, and just overall cannot maintain its title. However, it still reigns as the king of social gaming, and I'm pretty sure it's probably the only reason why most of us are still here today.
Pets. From my perspective, pets are absolutely useless. Pets have been introduced to create a more "sidekick" feeling to the player, but they're only used for picking up drops. However, when raids finish, the system auto-picks up your drops for you. So why even bother? Additionally, pets cost around $8-10k NX each.
Kai. As the constant where-in-the-world-is-my-archer-mayne-questions bombard us, Kai is NOT, let me i.repeat NOT coming out for a LONG TIME. The reason is because NA took 4 months to implement the 9.5 update. The 9.5 update included 3 raids, 1 polar bear, the trio spiders, and dragon. However, the polar bear/spider are useless, so it took NA 4 months to implement 1 raid. Derp indeed. The reason behind this is because as NA is facing an economic issue, a large database of NA employees have been laid off. As a result, our content will continue to be delayed. In my opinion, Kai isn't coming out either until July if we're lucky, or as a standard backup, December 2012.
Ep 10. Not going to even mention this because there's 2 Dragon raids which are just Model skins of Elchulus. Same exact moves, same exact arena, same exact setup, same exact lag. The only part I'm looking forward to is Keaghan, which is the final raid battle of Vindictus Season 1. Honestly, they could have ended it better by making your character die or something.
Guild/Community Updates:
Our guild has been facing tons of issues lately, which if I don't reply to you immediately please do not be offended because I'm bombarded with issues like the PVP tourney with Rinfeim, marketing our Stream, and of course, recruiting members.
Admins. Phyrene and RakeshP are now our permanent Administrators. Hotori and Lizee are officially resigned as admins, but will still proceed to aid the community and train Phyrene/RakeshP in formal conduct.
Activity. Overall, I know activity has dropped, but this isn't just the case with us. The ENTIRE game is no longer the same game it was before. Particularly, the banning of the bots and destruction of M***, players like me who profit off of marketing can no longer do so. Therefore, it seems we're looking at an Extreme Pay2win situation here. For now, I will be recruiting new members via megaphone, so don't mind me ^_^.
Stream. Recently, I setup a stream featuring the guild's raids and solos. I'm using this as a method to attract more people and open our community to the Vindictus forums. I believe this will allow WeTheProud to stretch its name to others, and fully acknowledge our guild as a higher tier, or rather a more popular guild.
Note: On the stream, I will try a few stages of commentary. As I've never done this before, I will try to impersonate a few personas and see which fits best for the stream. For example, I may act like a girl, or I may like a complete douche and curse constantly. This stream is 18++++++++++++++++

Recently, she has been diagnosed with a case of Liver cancer, and wishes to keep it secret. However, I believe with the support of the guild and by spreading awareness, we can pray for the best of her health. This Friday is her operation so everyone please be sure to give her your good faith and welcome her when she returns to America! Fighting Mickey! (Prepare to see Megaphone Spam)

Congratulations to Phyrene and RakeshP, Our New G.M.A's
Due to recent issues that are inexplicable at the moment, I have decided to hire Phyrene and RakeshP as both GMA's (Game Moderator Administrators)
This means Phyrene and RakeshP will be leading the Community as a co-leadership for a temporary time.
Now, as an administrator for WeTheProud, we expect Admins to maintain the guild by knowing your vicinity of what the current condition the guild is in, and ultimately evaluating scenarios and decisions based on your judgement. Administrator is a responsibility and privilege for one to delve further into the community and bear the burden of expanding our community in a thoughtful, mature, and secure manner. As you know, WeTheProud is broken into different branches of games, mainly Source, but this vicinity will only remain prioritized for Vindictus. We expect you to help and answer questions to all members of the community, prioritize the needs of others before yourself, and donate a portion of your time in meetings.
Please give your warm welcome to our top newest GMA's.

Connection Issues Due To Recent Maintenance
Nexon announced today/yesterday that the Vindictus servers will be having connection problems for login, guild, chat, etc. Ironically, the problem started to occur for me right AFTER they announced it. Who would have known?
As it is currently unknown what has caused the problem and when such will fix, guild number counts may be erroneous and people who seem to be logged in may not actually be logged on at all. Take into account that this affects all accounts based on server-side. How does this affect YOU?
Friends and guilds members may not be online at certain times. Also, if there appears to be a deficiency in guild member numbers, there is the possibility that guild raids will be cancelled altogether for a certain day.
Nexon apologizes for the inconvenience.
P.S- The Vindictus Forums no longer has Aeselli as the CM. Alteris left to another game company because of better working conditions/pay and Aeselli has now been moved to Dragon Nest. Vindictus is currently the only game without a CM. Foreveralone~

Employee/Staff Reviews of Nexon
So a random forumer posted this review thread. It was quite interesting to read all the reviews of Nexon employees because each and every single one was dead on with what we as consumers hate.
However, these two reviews basically sum up the majority of Nexon's head management goals....and dire problems.

- Lunch provided Tues and Fri (Not anymore)
- Budgets for team outings given every month (Also gone)
- Great workshops and budgets (Also excluded)

- Organizational structure of assignments were fairly managed well

- No room for growth in the company unless outstanding
- After major layoff of employees in Feb 2012, employees were asked to leave immediately. When visiting, only those close to management were able to hang out while others were given a few minutes.

Management for the most part is great, but maybe sticking up for employees or talking to executives push a decision about an employee's could be strengthened
Pros
NEXON has a very liberal culture. Compared to other companies in South Korea, it's very young and energetic. It innovated online game industry with a new business model of free game with paid items. In addition, it has very strong balance sheet. It produced several popular online games and attracted a great number of young gamers from domestic and overseas markets. Although the games are technically free to play, most of the players are buying a lot of additional paid items to improve their virtual characters. Some of them are literally pouring all of their money into the games. With the stacked money, it acquired another successful game company in South Korea, and I heard some rumors from local news that Walt Disney Company is interested in acquiring NEXON at around two billion dollar.
Cons
In recent few years, NEXON starts getting somewhat greedy. It seems to have forgotten what really matters in games is to serve its gamers at its best. Rather than putting much of its energy into making games more fun and interesting, it's concentrating on squeezing most money out of young gamers' pockets. Due to the change of its focus, it failed to produce successful games for the past two years in contrast to its early days. In recent few years, it's publishing games made from external game studios rather than making its own.
Now, according to the majority of these reviews, most Nexon employees don't earn the best salary. Due to their Feb. 2012 layoff, it seems employees are receiving less income and more work.
Just like any other corporation out there, the actual people who DO the job make less than the median salary. A McDonald employee can make nearly the same...
Whoever the CEO is....he's quite an infamous genius.
