Quick Fix for NGM authentication error.

For those of you facing NGM authentication error, login vindictus using YOUR email address that was assigned when you first made your ID. That email must be submitted in login WITH the @gmail/yahoo/hotmail symbol.

Another method can be deleting CurrentInfo.txt from your ENG-US Vindictus folder located in C:/Nexon. Haven't verified if this method works yet, but this is more of a backup plan.
Warning: Deleting CurrentInfo.txt will re-patch the game, so do not think this is abnormal.

It has also been stated that email addresses may have been reset, so any means in trying to change email via login, will deny any Last Name/Birthday assigned to the ID.

WeTheProud's 50th Day Anniversary!! Major Update News!

WeTheProud was first created May 6, 2011, and as of today June 26, 2011 WeTheProud is officially 50 days old!

As of this day, we're looking forward to one MAJOR update, the Guild HUD update by Nexon.
It was proposed the update would come out ep 8, with a brand new HUD and organization of Guild Members according to their status.  Hopefully Nexon will create something useful in terms of socialization and not just add decorations.

There seems to be speculation that the NA director of Vindictus was going to be replaced with the KR director.  This is still in fact a rumor.

EPISODE 8 WILL BE RELEASED JULY 13

KR Dye system is FINALLY being implemented July 13 along with Episode 8.  KR Dye system allows one player to get 3 dyes for 1 price.  First, using Dark Crest as an example, the Player pays 34,900 gold then gets 1 color, the player has a choice within about 30 seconds or a minute (Sorry don't remember) to either keep the color or keep rolling.  The 2nd choice repeats, and stops at the last, if the player is not satisfied with the 3rd choice, he must re-pay the 34,900 gold to get 3 rolls again.

Episode 8 there is also speculation for a small addition of Basic Hair being available for purchase as in-game gold.  Meaning players can change their hair color of Basic Hair for a certain price.

Being an admin is NOT a promotion or title, it's A RESPONSIBILITY.
This means:
-Assisting Guild Members at times possible
-Answering/helping Members with questions as FAQ
-Remaining active as much as possible
-Maintaining a mature and positive attitude towards peers and strangers
-Recruiting Members when the opportunity is available (We do not discriminate by level, we just prefer 24+)
-Kicking by any means necessaries to people who are considered a hazard to our community
-Watching for guild activity (Reward, troll, behavior, manners, racism, stereotype, etc)
-Participating in events/activities and upholding a proper title

Short Announcement: WeTheProud's Guild Channel is now 132.  This will be our PERMANENT channel.

Karok is here, and a few other secret updates. NEW GUILD RULE.

While we're all aware that Karok is finally here, there have been a few secret changes that Nexon has not mentioned.  (This is why they seriously need to implement a better changelog)
First, it has been noted that several players are adding their Karok alts to the guild.  Please keep in mind that there IS a member cap, and we will ONLY accept a MAXIMUM of 3 Alts in the guild.  Hence, decide whether or not you will make Karok a main, or side active character.  This is to prevent our guild from being flooded with non-active characters.
Our system for this procedure is as follows:
1. Administrators and I will facilitate NON-ACTIVE igns "Probably within a week".  If there is a non-active ign, we will proceed to question whose character it is, and ask if that character will remain active.  However, if the character appears to be inactive and nobody claims it, THAT CHARACTER WILL BE KICKED.
2. **There is an exception for this cap, this rule will only remain temporary until Nexon establishes the exact # of members within a guild.  If you are desperately in need of adding more than 3 alts, please refer to our admins or Zokku about your activity.  WE WILL CONSIDER THOSE who deserve to have more than 3 alts.

Next,
As you are all aware, system channels are now over-flooded within 1-100.  This means channel 64, and 99 will NO LONGER BE OUR GUILD CHANNEL.  We have not decided what our new channel will be or what future plans Nexon holds in fixing this bug.  Most likely by tomorrow we will decide our new guild channel.  In the meantime, as soon as we decide upon the channel, it will be established by this blog.

Finally,
Nexon has not released a proper changelog, so here are some secret changes I stole from a forum poster.

• Stamina can be regenerated while looting an Evil Core (not while picking up ores/ergs though)
• Invincibility frames when getting up (maybe after a throw/during a non-ES throw as well)

Emergency Switch of Guild Channels

Due to our obnoxious, epic-winning, karok-smash, efforts, we have successfully destroyed channel 99.  Or so we can claim as it is.  However, due to setbacks we'll be making our temporary channel 64.  For those of you who are still in 50, 50 has been changed due to the numerous #'s of random pubs joining.

This does not mean 64 is our permanent channel.  We will switch immediately back to 99 once it is restored from our damages.

Digressing from the subject, Satsuko is currently working our final guild banner, using his art of Photoshop.  His template was rather impressive for a quick slapdash job, and so we hope to fit in all those who were absent during the guild photo shoot.

We've reached a milestone, people are finally dressed.

Scheduled Guild Picture (The Last One...hopefully)

It has been decided that there is a need for a new guild picture.  Although we have recently taken one by complete coincidence, this time we hope to include all of the guild members.  Unfortunately many will not be able to make it, so it is in conclusion that we will schedule a GUILD PICTURE ON FRIDAY (June 10). In the meantime, please take a few minutes to visit us, and just be aware that on this day, we will have a guild picture.  We hope to gather as many members around..10 am-8pm (PST, California) and formally, take a picture that doesn't include half of us naked.  <------

Meeting place will be the Guild Channel 99, at the campfire (We will not be taking the picture at the campfire, this is just a meeting place so we may move as one big group).  Most likely the location will be either Rocheste, or any place that is unique to all.

Also, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone would like to volunteer as an HTML expert.  We are also looking for a Graphics Designer or anyone who's generally an expert with PHOTOSHOP.  Of course, I will pay you for your time and efforts.  This is to re-create our blogspot and hopefully turn our banner, into something more intricate.  Thank you~

A Hacker has appeared! What will Player do?

Aside from the pokemon reference, it seems that an infamous hacker has been caught in our mass wave recruit.  However, he has been quarantined and kicked within the few minutes he has been discovered.  As this serves as good practice for our admins, please be cautious of future hackers and trolls who intend to cause harm to our guild.  In an explanatory note, hackers are to be IMMEDIATELY kicked from the guild because not only will this serve as a bad reputation, but innocent players will be caught in an innocent wave ban.  (Ex. incident with the guild Apocalypse, 1 hacker, half of the guild members were banned).

In order to avoid future waves of innocent bans, you may follow these instructions to help prevent hackers' console from reorganizing the script of your config.cfg

1. Go to your vindictus folder C:/Nexon

2. Open CFG folder

3. Right click config.cfg for properties

4. Check "Read Only"

5. Close

This procedure has been approved by the forums community of Nexon and it has ensured that those who utilize this may increase their chances of not receiving an innocent ban.

For those of you who are unable to identify scenarios of hacking, common situations include

1. Teleportation/Rapid speed movement

2. Instant Boss Kill with overkill of 99999999...

3. Golden Balls fly from the boss doing instant kill (This is most common in hackers because they believe using the physics engine script based on the environment will not attach to their log.  However, their mistake is that error reports are often recorded in config.cfg, even if Nexon will not see the Player has committed an instant kill by CLIENTSIDE, they still will see the Time for the raid boss.)

Generally speaking, hacks are morally indecisive and NOT worth utilizing.  It affects the community of vindictus and most importantly our guild.  I have been studying console and source engine for the past 7 years (Hardcore CS/tf2/portal/hl2/CSZ/CSS Fan), hence I know exactly what these hackers use and hide.

It has come to our consensus that Hotori would be our best candidate for the Admin position.  Therefore, Hotori has now become an Admin on unanimous vote, and we are looking forward to his diligence and commitment to the guild.

It is displeasing to notion that xxRickyxx has quit Vindictus or is altogether on temporary suspension.  As a result, our admin number has dropped to 2, and hence it is imperative I assess each and every new admin in a more pragmatic and empirical manner.  Being an Admin is generally a responsibility and a privilege to all.  For our current admins I have assigned several tasks which include
-Constant basis of Recruitment (Req. lvl 24+)
-Prioritize in aid for assists
-Inform those who have Q.'s about the game
-Maintain a relative reasonable activity
-Regulate demeanor and banhammer for trolls. (Have received few trolls +)
-Abet members in ANY form of activity that exclude missions (For misc.)

During this time I have begun to assign more administrative positions to members, but due to relative assessment in suggestions, progress has been halted.  However, as we are expanding at a rapid pace, I need more hands to assist me.

Be wary of "UU2BUU"

Recently after rambling through tons of threads with trolls, flames, and otakus I've come across several interesting problems that don't concern whiners.  Nope, in fact there happens to be an infamous hacker lurking around Vindictus named UU2BUU or something along this line that is able to hack into accounts, and transfer all items to his character, UU2BUU.  This is just a warning message to those who will encounter such an ign, "Please do not associate yourselves with this character as there are risks of dangerous implications".

Several flames have posted,
"UU2BUU has been able to keylog, scam in-game notifications, conceal his name in OUTBOX, and get info through email"
Because Nexon isn't doing anything about this hacker, please remain cautious on your own terms if you ever encounter this person.  Reason being, posting such a message is considered "Harassment against ToS in legal terms, and hence this is why I have posted it here".
