March Update

Hi guys, another huge content patch by our fellow Korean overlords who have successfully taken over NA management.

This post is to prioritize what news is actually important and to filter out what other nonsense we don't really care about or need regarding the game.  It's as the order follows:

1. All Season 2 Missions, including Raids have been nerfed.  Season 2 missions are now available for Dailies, but Nexon probably lowered their stats because the raids and missions were too hard.  Hopefully, this means prices will drop because items are easier to get and players will finally be able to tryout content without having to buy +13-15 weapons.

2. Stats are officially pay2win.  Nexon has introduced "Outfits" where players can equip a new Outfit in their Avatar Tab, which is completely optional for visibility.  Here's how it works.
A. You have your basic armor, weapons, accessories in the inventory tab.  These stats will be permanent and show to all players.
B. You have your Avatar tab, with a tab that says Outfit.  Here, you can equip various outfit parts or an entire set such as Vampire, which grants 350 ATT based on all 5 parts.  Additionally, it grants 150 ATT as a set bonus, so you will receive 500 ATT total.
When both parts combine, you will be wearing two layers of armor, A, and B.  B is optional to show and hide, just click on the Eye icon on the top right.
Oh, and all parts are permanent.

3. Preferred Channels.  You can now select a default channel to switch to when you're logging in.  I expect all members to have their default set to 53, otherwise you will face severe sexual punishment.

4. Practice Raid Modes.   This is a new sandbox feature that Nexon allows players to simply just play a raid for fun.  You do not gain any experience or rewards, and you do not use up your raid once a day.

5. No more snow town.  Am sad.

6. Haven't tested this out yet, but apparently infinite feathers are no longer possible, and you Glas Ghabsdfbasdlfibasldf no longer allows 1 chainer to breakoff.  He should require 2 now.

7. Nobody cares about crossgun.

  2. Reaper checking in here...

Just a reminder, but just because Nexon lowered the stats of the Season 2 Raid bosses doesn't mean anyone and everyone is going to start getting magical rare drops from these bosses. Not only this but these bosses will still have powerful attacks that can do severe damage, so you're wise to be on your guard at Kraken and Lakoria still.

Remember, with new updates also come glitches and bugs, so be prepared to keep an eye out at the official Nexon forums for any talk of glitch abuse, Hero Mode bugs, and other problems that have plagued us in the past. We don't need more people getting banned.

And yes, the CrossGun is a mixed bag. If you've played Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid, or any other 3rd person shooter, you might feel right at home, however let me sum it up for you after my bouts on xSidious today (my Kai):

    1. The CrossGun does NOT autoaim like the bows do. This means you'll be a bit more active with the mouse to aim.

    2. Kai still lacks a Joystick setup and any changes you make are erased when you log back in to the setup. This can be frustrating.

    3. The range is mediocre. I'll be honest, it's longer than the shortbow, but not enough to really make any difference.

    4. The damage isn't too great. In fact you might get better DPS from the Shortbow. The reloading really takes some time and getting an opening to properly reload can be a headache with some of the faster bosses, such as Lionotus.

    5. The hit box for the crossgun bolts is VERY small. In fact you can easily miss sometimes even with proper aiming, strafing, and shooting techniques. Shots have to be dead on accurate.

As Zokku mentioned, the Pay2Win aspect was expected, but honestly I had no idea it'd be so soon. I do expect to see more and more of this in the months to come.

Lastly, and I'm sure you all have heard, there was no update to the Seal Shop for Season 1 Episodes 9.5 and 10. Season 2 Episode 2 could bring it along, but don't expect a miracle. This means we'll still be busting our asses at Heide and Royal Army Raids to get the stuff we need.

  3. I wouldn't say no one cares about the crossgun.
